I decided to change my workout, since I need more time with swimming, to improve my speed.

Based on my day job and availability, I have designed my workout as below:

while, most training plans suggested to have a gap between swimming sessions and do strength instead. But following that plan, was not effective for me, as I would be quite tired after strength work-outs, that I would be tired in swim sessions and it was causing pain in my shoulder. Thus, I added swim sessions together. I am quite comfortable with swim session without break, since in my college years, I used to swim 6 days a week.

This session would allow me to have better recovery after strength work outs. Once I’ll have required strength probably after 5–6 months, I’ll add extra short-swim session on those days too.

My target is to be able to do 5k comfortably, in one session after 7–8 months.
